As a Communications Developer, you’ll shape how we engage customers and colleagues through clear, compelling, and compliant communications. You’ll create, develop, and amend communications and templates that reflect our brand voice across channels. You’ll apply careful testing, technical documentation, and version control to ensure that every message is accurate, scalable, and easy to maintain. This is an exciting time to join us as we implement new solutions and capabilities across a range of communications platforms, including Smartcomms/Thunderhead.
You’ll partner with stakeholders across marketing, customer experience, product, data, and compliance to translate business rules into reusable templates and dynamic content. At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You’ll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.
What you’ll be doing:
- Communication Development including configuration, creation, testing and analysis.
- Develop new communications and amend existing communications.
- Implement robust test process and technical documentation, obtaining sign-off for the work undertaken.
- Assist with the management and timely resolution of requests, including responding to incidents and regulatory requirements.
- Work on designated projects as a communications production expert, representing the Customer Experience, Marketing and Operations team.
- Take an adaptable approach to delivery, being a key point of contact for addressing issues and supporting escalations.
- Nurture excellent cross supplier, departmental, company and group relationships to ensure effective delivery.
- Mitigate delivery risk and undertake communications configuration through scenario planning, risk mitigation and contingency plans.

What you’ll bring:
- Experience in technical development (including coding) of documents, customer communications and emails including processes and fulfilment.
- An appreciation of how dynamic content/logic works.
- XML/JSON knowledge would be desirable.
- Experience in following business process, QA and UAT, and working in agile environment.
- Experience with or a willingness to learn other communications management platforms, eg, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HP Opentext.
- Strong relationship building and communications skills.
- Pragmatic and logical thinker with a passion for detail.
