Overview
AXA Health is making a significant investment in pricing capability with a comprehensive pricing transformation programme. The programme includes new pricing software, market‑leading modelling and performance monitoring. We need strong data science, actuarial and governance skills to support this transformation.
What you’ll be doing
- Produce underwriting performance projections for finance planning and forecasting.
- Collaborate with Pricing and Insight teams to agree strategic plans and forecasting assumptions.
- Support the GUO Portfolio Management process and produce required analyses for AXA Group.
- Implement value‑based retention incentives and recommend corrective action for under‑performance.
- Work with AXA Retail Pricing and Distribution teams on new business initiatives, rolling them into Sales and Operational teams.
- Confirm risk underwriting and referral decisions at a case‑by‑case level, and support audit results.
- Review large SME pricing from Corporate Pricing to ensure appropriate risk.
- Consider customer impact in all risk underwriting decisions and ensure fair treatment.
- Lead the Portfolio Management team, coaching direct reports and aligning priorities with AXA Health business objectives.
What you’ll bring
- Previous experience leading, developing, coaching and motivating a Pricing, Underwriting or Finance team.
- Expert knowledge of the private medical insurance (PMI) market.
- Comprehensive understanding of AXA Health’s regulatory environment.
- Demonstrable knowledge of pricing and key performance drivers.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results.
- Strategic thinker capable of translating strategy into a delivery plan.
- Outstanding communication and influencing skills.
- Solution‑focused, with a strong focus on delivery and continuous improvement.

Additional Information
Applicants must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom. This role is defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role and will require background screening every 4 years with annual declarations in interim years.
