Job Overview

We’re looking for a dedicated and experienced Nurse Case Manager to join our team in Tunbridge Wells or Bristol on a full‑time, permanent basis. In this rewarding role, you’ll provide expert guidance and support to members who have experienced clinical or medical negligence. You’ll also collaborate with solicitors and the Third‑Party Recovery (TPR) team to help recover AXA Health’s financial outlay, using your knowledge of the law of subrogation to protect our interests—while ensuring our members receive the highest level of support throughout their journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and prioritise clinical negligence referrals from other departments, ensuring thorough assessment, appropriate action, and escalation when needed.
  • Support the delivery of the TPR 2026 savings target by referring cases and members to the TPR team.
  • Contribute to the Clinical Injury Support (CIS) team’s objectives by helping with financial recovery and improving member satisfaction.
  • Contact and support members affected by clinical negligence or faulty products, providing clear advice to achieve satisfactory resolutions.
  • Handle cases from initial diary entry to resolution, ensuring compliance with SLAs and GDPR.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, answer queries about ongoing CIS cases, and attend internal meetings to share relevant provider information.
  • Conduct detailed research on cases, including claims, recalled products, and high‑risk surgical cases under investigation.
  • Use medical expertise to support the TPR Team, especially when reviewing medical records or complex cases.
  • Assist the CIS and TPR Team Manager with strategic initiatives aimed at increasing case leads, enhancing recoveries, and improving operational efficiencies.
