You will collaborate with the Head of Strategic Risk and Resilience and the Business Risk and Controls team, to deepen the capability of the health business to understand and manage its enterprise risks, whilst maintaining a strong and pervasive focus on positive business and customer outcomes.

The purpose of this role is to provide support across a variety of enterprise risk areas including risk audits and deep dives in line with risk frameworks and assurance models, assist with implementing improvements for enterprise risk oversight processes and controls, analysing key MI and reporting findings to help AXA Health meet its business strategy and regulatory obligations.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You will work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. What you’ll be doing:

  • Collating and analysing MI and creating reporting for internal governance meetings to include providing a view of enterprise risk which draws out actionable insight.
  • Monitoring and analysing enterprise issues and incidents, identifying root causes and detecting trends. Recommending improvements to processes and controls and keeping action owners accountable to ensure changes are made timely.
  • Forming strong stakeholder relationships across the business to ensure consistent understanding of enterprise risk, control and conduct related matters and engaging across the three lines of defence, as appropriate.
  • Supporting the embedding of standards and impact assessments to evaluate how changes, transformations, and new initiatives affect resilience, customer outcomes, and risk profiles.
  • Supporting Risk Oversight Managers to drive resilience across large-scale change programmes, including digital transformation, ensuring robustness and recovery capabilities are integrated.
  • Supporting risk management for daily and transformation activities by tracking, mitigating, and recording risks and controls. Assisting with risk reporting, root cause analysis, and applying lessons learned for continuous improvement.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience in undertaking risk-based assurance audits, ideally in relation to risk standards and impact assessment, change and transformation risk management and technology risks.
  • Familiarity with risk analysis of incidents and events requiring root cause and lessons learned assessment.
  • An understanding of relevant insurance/healthcare regulation and supervisory expectations for large complex financial institutions and/or clinical providers would be an advantage, particularly in relation to operational resilience or clinical risk.
  • Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills including the ability to engage business teams on the value of assurance activity and influence buy-in of proposed solutions to issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to create key reporting.
  • Commercial and pragmatic outlook, able to work at pace, respond quickly to change and remain delivery focused.
  • Proactive with a focus on continuous improvement and able to prioritise competing interests and handle complexity and ambiguity.
  • An ability to support the production of Steering Committee and risk management forum packs.
