Overview
Are you an experienced Product Business Analyst looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic environment? We’re seeking two skilled professionals to undertake end-to-end business analysis on a 12 month, fixed-term contract basis. These assignments will be in our Digital portfolio – the forefront of our Transformation. As a business analyst, you’ll be responsible for working closely with colleagues across teams to identify and document insurance claims and servicing processes, leading workshops to gather and capture business requirements from a range of stakeholders and work within our digital governance and cycle planning cadence to champion and prioritise into delivery.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You\’ll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) towards the end of 2025. Away from home means attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.
What you’ll be doing
- Ensure all requirements are comprehensively defined, with a clear understanding of their impact on systems, people, processes, data and journeys.
- Conduct end to end requirements analysis to ensure compliance with company standards and business and technical target architectures, securing appropriate governance approval.
- Utilise a structured end to end business analysis and design framework to facilitate informed decision-making regarding changes to systems, data requirements and processes, while creating EPICs and user stories within Agile teams.
- Influence and support business users in articulating their needs, focusing on defining outcomes rather than solutions.
- Develop, distribute and obtain approval for communications related to end to end business requirements and functional design.
- Review and sign off testing strategies, plans, criteria and results to ensure comprehensive delivery of solutions.
- Manage change in business requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring thorough documentation of impacts and change management activities.
- Identify and progress synergies across projects, programmes or releases to optimise change delivery efficiently.
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience in defining end-to-end solutions, with a focus on requirements definition and functional design across various domains.
- Understanding of product strategy, customer needs, and technical landscapes, particularly in digital and product-led environments.
- Expertise in utilising an end-to-end business analysis and design framework to guide decisions on system and process changes.
- Technical and business architecture expertise, preferably around customer and employee journey mapping.
- Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts, and their application in enhancing business processes and customer experiences.
- Proficient in Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies.
- Confident in facilitating design thinking sessions, understanding stakeholder requirements, identifying problems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including project managers and other departments.
- Commitment to continuous learning and adaptability, with expertise in IT development lifecycles, data management, and robust data analysis capabilities.
