Join us at AXA Health to apply for the Business Design Consultant – 12 month FTC role. We’re looking for a Business Design Consultant to join us on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. You’ll drive impactful business design solutions and collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders to shape innovative operating models and create sustainable strategies for our organisation’s growth and success. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with a number of teams across the organisation, creating clarity around the architecture of our business, simplifying complex structures, and enabling a shared understanding of how each component fits together.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You’ll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing strategic direction and thought leadership in business design initiatives, leading projects from inception to delivery, guiding junior team members and fostering a culture of design excellence.
- Engaging with key stakeholders to understand their unique challenges, goals and requirements, developing deep insights into their needs and collaborating to deliver tailored and effective business design solutions.
- Tackling complex business challenges by applying a blend of analytical thinking, design methodologies and industry knowledge.
- Driving innovation in operating models to optimise the business and stay ahead of industry trends and disruptions, exploring opportunities for diversification, growth and market expansion.
- Mentoring junior team members.
- Staying updated on emerging trends, industry best practices and design methodologies, sharing knowledge and insights within the team and contributing to thought leadership initiatives.
- Providing innovative and data‑driven solutions to enhance business processes and customer experiences.
What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience as a business design consultant or in a similar strategic role.
- Experience in conducting Operating Model analysis and redesign projects.
- Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a track record of delivering innovative solutions.
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
- Evidenced ability to bring your design through from concept to delivery, ensuring our strategy is delivered into real life ways of working.
- Ability to convey complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in relevant design tools and software used in business design and analysis.
- Prior experience working on large, digital transformations is advantageous.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced and collaborative work environment.
