Our Global Wordings team has an exciting opportunity for an adaptable individual to join as a Wordings Specialist. You will be an integral part of the team and the wider Legal department, supporting the underwriting business across all product lines, covering a wide variety of complex risks. This role offers the opportunity to demonstrate your technical drafting skills and advisory services to underwriters, clients, and brokers, providing a service differentiator for AXA XL.
Responsibilities include:
- Analyzing β reviewing existing products, new products, and competitorsβ offerings, including analysis and explanation of clauses and product wordings, focusing on delivering timely and commercial solutions.
- Creating & Innovating β working with stakeholders to build new insurance products or refine existing ones, leading innovation for AXA XL.
- Teamwork β collaborating across teams and departments to meet goals, service requirements, and projects.
- Training and Development β sharing best practices, delivering presentations, and advising on wording solutions.
- Supporting Underwriters β assisting in coverage analysis and providing clear wording solutions, highlighting emerging risks.
- Governance and Contracts Certainty β ensuring contract clarity and compliance with standards and regulations.
- Collaboration β maintaining clear communication with stakeholders to deliver high-quality service.
You will report to a Wordings Manager.
We seek candidates with:
- Ability to interpret and draft (re)insurance clauses clearly in English.
- Effective communication skills for face-to-face and written solutions.
- Understanding of insurance business, legal, and compliance needs.
- Strong workload management and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, exercising judgment.
- Experience with (re)insurance wordings and technical proficiency.
