Joining AXA XL as an Underwriting Support Assistant is a great foundation step to launch your career within insurance. Brand new position as an Underwriting Support Assistant within AXA XL’s Energy Support team. This role is a hybrid role combining both time in our newly refurbished Ipswich office as well as remotely under our Smart Working initiative.
The primary purpose of the Underwriting Support Assistant role is to perform tasks supporting the existing Underwriting book of business, whilst developing the necessary skillset to liaise with key internal stakeholders
What you’ll be doing
What will your essential responsibilities include?
- Document Management: Receiving, uploading, and organizing documents related to applications, quotes, and underwriting decisions.
- Inputting Policy Data: Entering information from insurance documentation into the company’s underwriting system.
- Updating Risk Information: Maintaining and updating existing risks within the underwriting system, including coverage changes, endorsements etc
- Preparing New Submissions: Receiving submissions from the Underwriters and using them to accurately log new opportunities within the underwriting system in a timely manner, including performing sanctions/CSR checks as part of Know Your Client (“KYC”)
- Data Verification: Reviewing and verifying the accuracy of data entered, driven by reports from various stakeholders and automated data quality tools, ensuring the data match supporting documents or source information
