Job overview: Join us as a Supply Chain Manager and take charge of the strategic and operational management of our third-party claims suppliers across our Retail and Commercial lines of business. You’ll develop and lead end-to-end category strategies and oversee the sourcing process for key supply areas. You’ll focus on ensuring our partners deliver outstanding customer outcomes while meeting stringent performance standards and compliance with all contractual, regulatory, and outsourcing requirements. You’ll champion a culture of continuous improvement, value optimisation, and risk mitigation throughout the entire claims supply chain lifecycle.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage supplier relationships end-to-end, ensuring strict compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and Key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Conduct performance reviews, analysing key metrics like claim lifecycle, costs, customer satisfaction, and leakage.
  • Drive value creation through initiatives focused on process efficiency, innovation, and customer outcomes.
  • Proactively plan supplier capacity and manage surge and contingency measures to ensure continuous service.
  • Mitigate supplier related risks, ensuring controls are effective and risks are properly reported.
  • Ensure all activities comply with UK regulations and AXA’s outsourcing and third-party risk policies.
  • Lead supplier due diligence, audits, and monitor fair treatment of customers throughout the claims process.
  • Develop and execute multi-year category strategies, lead sourcing and negotiations, and foster strong stakeholder relationships.

Work arrangements: At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events. We’re also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.

Your skills & experience:

  • Extensive proven experience in Supplier Relationship, Contract, and Category Management within UK Insurance or Financial Services.
  • Knowledge of general insurance claims (Motor, Property, Injury) and third-party supplier roles.
  • Strong understanding of UK regulatory requirements, especially FCA/PRA outsourcing and third-party management.
  • Skilled in developing category strategies, running sourcing events, negotiations, and TCO modelling.
  • Excellent analytical skills to interpret MI data and convert insights into actionable business decisions.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and presentation skills, influencing senior leaders and external suppliers.
  • Professional procurement or insurance qualifications, operational risk experience, and resilience in fast-paced environments is desirable.
