Job overview: As Strategic Partnership Lead, your primary focus will be threefold; (i) steering the creation of market entry strategies; (ii) leading on the evaluation and onboarding of new insurer relationships and strategic partnerships; (iii) supporting the Head of Strategic Growth & Development in strategic group-led projects and transversal initiatives by driving synergies, best practice and continuous improvement within AGH and across the international health business. Your ultimate objective is to support AGH in achieving its goals and unlocking value across the broader international health business through carefully curated partnerships and an analytical, solution-driven approach to continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities:
- Coordinate input from Product, Marketing, and Distribution to define market entry strategies and support transversal initiatives within the international health business.
- Lead the identification, evaluation, structuring, and negotiation of partnerships with insurers (internal and external), MGAs/MGUs, and reinsurance entities, using aligned metrics.
- Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Finance, and other experts to assess business impact, design solutions, and ensure contractual and operational readiness.
- Manage project issues, risks, and oversee the successful implementation of new partnerships, ensuring RTB processes are in place.
- Support group-led strategic projects and drive continuous improvement in processes, controls, and team approaches.
- Identify growth opportunities, efficiencies, and synergies across the international health sector and develop actionable plans.
- Act as a catalyst for global business change by challenging existing practices and adopting innovative solutions to maximise value.
- Ensure alignment of strategic initiatives with business objectives, fostering sustainable growth and value creation.
Work arrangements: At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team, and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients, or attending industry events. We’re also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.
Your skills & experience:
- Strong business and commercial acumen, with experience in building business cases, negotiating contracts, and managing business risk for MGAs and (re)insurers.
- In-depth knowledge of international medical insurance, MGAs, and reinsurance partnerships, including their operational integration.
- Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage strategic partnerships and business models.
- Excellent organisational, strategic thinking, and project management skills, with the ability to lead complex initiatives.
- Self-motivated, proactive, adaptable, and resilient in dynamic environments.
- Effective communicator and leader, with a solution-driven mindset and experience leading strategic change.
- Skilled in risk management, stakeholder collaboration, and innovative problem-solving.
- Capable of designing and executing new strategies to drive growth and value.
