Job overview
We're seeking a forward-thinking pricing expert ready to expand their impact into a strategic risk management role within AXA UK's Risk team. You'll oversee the Product Approval process, provide independent risk assessments, and contribute to strategic projects with your expertise on pricing and claims risks. Additionally, you'll help shape underwriting policies and ensure the Risk Management Framework aligns with AXA UK's risk appetite. This role offers the opportunity to expand your expertise from pricing into strategic risk management, shaping policies and influencing business decisions. Key responsibilities
- Manage and monitor the Product Approval Process, providing second-line opinions and coordinating with Risk and Compliance.
- Conduct independent risk reviews of pricing, claims, and portfolio management to support strategic challenge.
- Support senior leaders in reviewing key projects and providing formal risk opinions on pricing and claims.
- Contribute to risk considerations in strategic planning, ensuring activities align with business goals.
- Develop and maintain underwriting and reinsurance policies.
- Coordinate the implementation of the Risk Management Framework, monitor risk adherence, and assist in action plans to stay within risk appetite.
Work arrangements
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events. We're also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.

- Expertise as a Risk Pricing Specialist, ideally within the UK Health insurance market.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills to manage key relationships and influence decisions.
- Brilliant interaction skills with Executives, Senior Management and regulators.
- Substantial product and industry knowledge and understanding of regulatory framework.
- Business acumen and self-motivation.
- Proven ability to work under time pressure.
- Analytical problem-solving skills.
