We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will oversee the daily operations of our insurance department, ensuring efficient processing of policies. You will lead a team of insurance professionals, drive process improvements, and contribute to the company\’s success. The role will be primarily based in Ipswich, with regular trips to the London office.

What you’ll be doing

Essential responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and guiding professional development, career growth, and decision-making.
  • Delegating tasks and projects aligning with team skills and interests.
  • Having ultimate responsibility for the team supporting Retail, LWS Property & Casualty lines.
  • Setting goals and being accountable for team success.
  • Conducting performance reviews, providing feedback, and addressing concerns.
  • Fostering a positive, collaborative team environment.
  • Overseeing all operational aspects across platforms and systems.
  • Working with the Operational Processes Manager to develop and implement policies, identify process improvements, and streamline workflows.
  • Monitoring KPIs and identifying improvement areas.
  • Analyzing data for trends and decisions.
  • Leveraging technology and automation to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Ensuring high client satisfaction through effective customer service.
  • Building relationships with stakeholders, especially within Underwriting.
  • Providing management reports as needed.
  • Ensuring compliance with insurance regulations and standards.
  • Conducting audits and reviews to mitigate risks.
  • Staying informed on industry trends and regulatory changes.

What you’ll bring

Skills and abilities include:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (advanced), Word, PowerPoint, Project.
  • Experience with Power BI for data analysis.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Creative and efficient problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Proactive and self-motivated approach.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.

You will report to the Head of Middle Office, UK.
