Job overview: You’ll be responsible for shaping and maintaining high quality, robust mental health related proposition components across our health insurance portfolio. You’ll ensure mental health propositions are clinically credible, accessible and aligned to best practice care models. The role focuses on mental health and wellbeing across propositions, with collaboration across other key healthcare ecosystem domains to deliver excellent customer outcomes.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead domain expertise for our mental health proposition, including product benefits, pathways and services.
- Shape, design and implement high value propositions addressing a broad set of mental health needs, including wellbeing and prevention, supported by financial business cases.
- Work with segment teams to adapt mental health propositions to different markets and work closely with the Marketing teams to craft go to market strategies and approaches.
- Partner with providers and AXA colleagues to ensure safe design and delivery of services, including identifying risks and assessing outcomes.
- Consistently develop and review customer, clinical, and business key performance indicators (KPIs) against plan to provide further feedback loops into new proposition development.
- Work collaboratively with Governance and Implementation to ensure any launches or modifications to propositions are delivered in line with regulatory requirements.
- Consistently develop and monitor product performance, value, and outcomes, identifying risks and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Produce and consumer insights into client feedback and market trends. Work collaboratively with Strategy and Insights teams to produce clear performance reporting and insight for senior stakeholders.
Work arrangements:
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events. Your skills & experience:
- Demonstratable understanding of healthcare and insurance is required.
- Experience in mental health services or related proposition role is needed.
- Analytical and service proposition design capability.
- Risk management skills - ability to proactively manage risk management frameworks to appraise and mitigate financial, non-financial and clinical risk.
- Outstanding stakeholder management, influencing skills and presentation skills.
- Project management skills with demonstrable experience of go-to-market plans that deliver propositions on time and in control.
- Ability to overcome ambiguity and conflicting objectives.
- Curiosity for innovation in healthcare and best practice proposition development methodology.

This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
