Let’s talk about your main mission:
The main function of the role is to be responsible for processing, that leads to settlement of reinsurance contracts and claims for all classes of business (proportional, non-proportional and facultative) that sit on various international portfolios.
Daily management of the team
- Ensure work allocation and organization are adequate to deliver on KPI’s and SLA’s.
- In conjunction with Deputy Head of GSSC monitor resourcing requirements and assist HR in the recruitment process.
- Assign incoming tasks to individuals and ensure individuals have clear objectives.
- Monitor performance (individual and team) against objectives in conjunction with the Deputy Head of GSSC, identify areas for improvement and actively support the team in making those changes.
- Organise team meetings, regular one-to-ones and performance reviews
- Provide clear instruction and ensure team members understand their role, the strategy of the company and maintain motivation.
- Ensure team members are fully trained to perform their role and tasks, providing coaching and mentoring when necessary.
- Ensure that processes, including cross-team processes, are maintained and understood by everybody.
- Contribute to building a positive can do culture within the team.
Escalation Liaison
- Assess escalated issues before making a case for the appropriate course of action to the Deputy Head of GSSC.
- Organize, attend and document the results of internal and external meetings where required in order to resolve issues.
- When issues are identified, ensure they are escalated to the relevant party e.g. Legal Team.
Oversee historical unallocated cash and balances
- Review outstanding items particularly those that are aged and recommend an appropriate course of action to the team member.
- Manage items that cannot be resolved and escalate as appropriate.
- Where cash reconciliation cannot be achieved, ensure guidelines for amendments to the bad debt provision are accurately followed.
Arrange and undertake broker visits
- Undertake visits to brokers to resolve issues, representing AXA LM in a confident and professional manner.
LOCs
- Ensure regular review of LoCs open balances and cash draw downs.
- Identify issues and appropriate solutions
- Escalate for approval where appropriate
What you bring:
Technical knowledge
- Knowledge of London market business and awareness of changes regarding broker and reinsurer status.
- Previous credit control experience in multi-currency environments
- Familiarity with document management systems and workflow tools
- Familiarity with in house IT systems, predominantly ImageRight, DCR, Assure C&S and Cede preferred

- Team Management experience
