It’s an exciting time to join the Digital team here at AXA Health, with significant investment planned in all UK&I businesses to transform and deliver new digital services to our customers; and to streamline and automate our business processes. We’re looking for an experienced Lead Salesforce Test Engineer to join our Engineering team, to help with the delivery of our digital roadmap, develop our people and capabilities, and support our Engineering strategy to drive improvements across all teams.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a product‑led operating model. In this model, all our teams align with value streams, which means that we have the necessary resources to take an idea from conception to completion with minimal handoffs. Our current focus is on developing our Single Digital Platform, which is based on Salesforce and involves a significant .NET estate, use of Azure services, and React frontend web applications.
As a Lead Salesforce Test Engineer, you will learn about recent technology trends and be able to influence the organisation to make the right choices. Our engineers are highly collaborative; they respect opinions and strive for continual improvement. You will contribute to our highly motivating atmosphere, in which people feel energized and enthusiastic about achieving common goals.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You\’ll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. We’re also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.
What you’ll be doing:
- You’ll act as a line manager and be responsible for supervising and guiding a team of test engineers, sharing best practices in manual test execution and exploratory testing in complex end-to-end environments on our Salesforce Platform
- Overseeing testing activities within a team responsible for frequent code deployments and delivery of business value to production environments
- You’ll be ‘Hands on’ and uplift existing capabilities, with a focus on test automation
- Responsibility for leading the technical design, implementation and maintenance of test automation projects within a CI/CD environment
Due to the number of applications we expect to receive for this role, we reserve the right to close this advert earlier than the listed closing date to ensure we’re able to effectively manage interest. Therefore, if you’re interested in joining us at AXA, please don’t hesitate to apply.

- Expertise using test automation frameworks and tools to design and implement test automation suites
- Experience with Provar or Copado Robotics Testing (CRT) would be advantageous
- Experience with Load testing / Simulating load with ability to evidence and report on results
- Extensive experience in manual testing approaches, whilst automation is crucial to our success, your expertise in effective manual testing methods will be required
