We are seeking a dynamic Large Corporate Business Development Manager to join our UK-based team at AXA - Global Healthcare. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving new business sales growth within the UK and Rest of World (ROW) channel. As a key member of the Global Distribution Team, you will collaborate with essential intermediaries, partners, and clients worldwide, leveraging your expertise to enhance our market presence and deliver exceptional healthcare solutions tailored to large corporate clients.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You will work at least 40% of your week away from home, at our Tunbridge Wells office.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Seek out and close new business opportunities working towards agreed individual and team sales targets.
  • Lead external sales pitches to clients and intermediaries as required; international travel may be required.
  • Relationship building with designated brokers by telephone and face to face, ensuring the market is kept up to date with our clients' proposition.
  • Manage the new business sales process from 1st contact through to implementation, working closely with key internal stakeholders.
  • Manage the pipeline and keep the CRM system updated accurately with funnel activity.
  • Prepare formal tenders in adherence with the agreed internal bid process.

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven business development experience with a strong track record of achieving targets.
  • In-depth knowledge of the international health market, particularly the intermediated sector.
  • Strong relationship and account management skills, with a focus on maintaining and growing client relationships.
  • Customer-centric approach, prioritising client needs and delivering exceptional service.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to create and deliver impactful presentations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and adaptable to new systems, with the capability to travel as needed.

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom. This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
