Job overview
You’ll retain and develop a portfolio of national corporate clients with significant healthcare spend, across insured and healthcare trust arrangements, together with health and wellbeing services including Employee Assistance Program (EAP) product offerings.
You’ll contribute to AXA Health’s growth by delivering exceptional client service, driving profitable outcomes and supporting the achievement of strategies, plans and targets.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and deliver high-value business to business (B2B) relationships to meet sales targets across products and services.
- Build strategic account plans, establishing strong relationships with decision makers and intermediaries to maximise retention and growth.
- Deeply understand client needs, proactively identify opportunities and lead negotiations to secure new business.
- Foster excellent cross-departmental collaborations to align strategic priorities and enhance client service.
- Gather and share market, customer and intermediary feedback to inform strategy and proposition development.
- Maintain expert knowledge of AXA Health’s offerings, industry trends and competitor landscape to advise clients effectively.
- Represent AXA Health at internal and external forums, promoting our values and offerings.
- Coach and develop colleagues within the wider team.
Work arrangements
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers.
You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) from December 2026.
Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events.
Your skills & experience
- Proven success in strategic account management and consultative, service-based selling in a health environment.
- Ability to meet targets and develop long-term plans for success.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the corporate business environment.
- Knowledge of corporate employee healthcare benefits, wellness and their impact on performance.
- Familiarity with health insurance and health services products from AXA and the wider market.
- Excellent relationship management skills, building networks internally and externally.
- Customer focused with strong communication, questioning, listening and presentation skills.
- Proven influencing, negotiation skills, and a motivated, resourceful, credible presence.
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
