The Healthcare team write a mix of open market Insured’s and delegated contracts predominantly domiciled within the US. Segments of the business include Hospitals, Long Term Care, Correctional, Physicians, and Life Science. Business is written using both the Lloyd’s and Company stamp and is predominantly written on a Primary and Lead business. This business has been written in London for 25+ years. The team is led by Glen Secular and consists of 3 Underwriters and an Assistant Underwriter based in London and two Underwriting Assistants based in Ipswich. The business is supported by Claims, Actuarial, Finance, and Risk Consulting, who are a key part of the process given the complex Insured’s written. The team are a key player in the market and will lead off Quota Share placements. At this level the role holder supports the underwriting operations within the central region in accordance with corporate and divisional guidelines.
