Are you eager to learn about the insurance industry and develop a solid foundation in middle office operations? This is an entry level / junior position within our Middle office team and ideal for anyone taking their first steps into Insurance. The Middle Office Operations team are responsible for ensuring that operational tasks undertaken by Shared Services / Global Operations are managed appropriately, provide support to Underwriting and ensure that the administrative processes for the end-to-end policy lifecycle are run efficiently and at a high quality to serve internal and external clients.
Within this role you will primarily be responsible for supporting the Multinational Servicing Global Programme Portfolio. The team support Underwriters and other internal Stakeholders to provide tailored Multinational Service Solutions for Clients and Brokers. They assist on the design and delivery of strategic change initiatives affecting the Middle Office Underwriting business. Example projects include the operational design strategy for Brexit, the design and execution of an offshore service centre move between countries and supporting the data and system workstreams for a new legal entity creation.
In this role you will build the foundations within insurance and focus on working closely with the multinational team while also expanding your skill set and knowledge across other areas.
What you'll be doing
- Support the full lifecycle of basic multinational insurance account renewals, handling tasks before and after policy binding to ensure smooth processing.
- Assist with allocating premiums and preparing tax summaries to support accurate billing and compliance.
- Track and record premium payments and policy issuance details, keeping internal teams and clients informed and up-to-date.
- Maintain high data quality standards, ensuring accuracy and completeness for all records.
- Contribute to ongoing projects by helping refine processes, including testing new systems and workflows (User Acceptance Testing).
- Input data to help clear backlogs and improve overall efficiency.
- Review account queries and either process them directly or guide the team on next steps.
- Build strong internal relationships to facilitate the smooth transfer of information and data across teams.
- Develop a good understanding of our systems, processes, and industry guidelines, staying informed about any updates or new regulations.
- Support the monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) by preparing reports that help measure and improve our operations.
