Job overview
AXA Bolton Office is looking for a group of People Services Team Leader to join the team on a fixed term basis until the end of 2026. You'll lead, coach, and develop the team, manage HR processes in Workday, handle escalations, and build strong relationships with stakeholders. Your focus will be on continuous improvement, compliance, and delivering high-quality HR support within a regulated environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and motivate the support team.
- Oversee HR administration and case management activities.
- Manage employee and manager queries and escalations.
- Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and data standards.
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders and senior leaders.
- Support continuous improvements in HR processes and systems.
- Monitor workloads to meet service levels and deadlines.
- Provide clear communication on process updates and changes.
Work arrangements
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events. We’re also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.
Your skills & experience
- Experience leading HR or People Support teams.
- Strong knowledge of HR processes and systems like Workday.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive employee queries with discretion.
- Organised with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of data protection and regulatory standards.
- Experience supporting reward or bonus cycles.
- Good coaching and communication skills.
- HR or customer service experience, CIPD qualification, or employment law knowledge is desirable.
