The Project

As an HR Generalist for AWWG, you will work closely with leaders and managers to implement people strategies that support business growth, profitability, and brand equity, while also attracting and hiring top talent aligned with our culture and values. This hybrid role combines Talent Acquisition responsibilities with HR Business Partnering for Retail, ensuring an exceptional employee experience from attraction to development and retention.

Responsibilities

  • Talent Acquisition
    • Manage recruitment processes ensuring vacancies are handled within scope, budget, and timeframe.
    • Execute the Corporate Onboarding process, managing company presentations, welcome kits, and office tours, both in person and online.
    • Build a recruitment talent pool, benchmark industry standards, and maintain industry knowledge.
    • Develop and lead strategic Talent Acquisition projects such as Employer Branding actions, participation in University Job Fairs, and use of Social Media and Job Portals.
    • Act as contact point for Universities and Payroll, managing student agreements, renewals, and hiring processes.
    • Regularly report results, maintaining an HR Analytics view.
  • HR Business Partnering (Retail Support)
    • Act as the main HR point of contact for retail employees, ensuring alignment between business needs and HR processes.
    • Provide expert HR advice and support to managers and employees on organizational design, employee relations, labor questions, and people strategy.
    • Develop HR solutions that support the business' strategic objectives and operational needs.
    • Support workforce planning, organizational efficiency, promotions, lateral moves, succession planning, and talent development initiatives.
    • Identify team challenges, conflicts, or engagement issues and provide guidance on effective solutions.
    • Participate in final stages of recruitment processes to ensure cultural and values alignment.
    • Manage administrative HR processes such as promotions, terminations, leaves, and retirement.
    • Implement HR policies that contribute to continuous improvement and professionalization of the HR function.

This position is a temporary sickness replacement.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in an HR Generalist role or similar. Academic background in Human Resources, Business Administration, Employee Relations or equivalent is desirable.
  • Fluent in English; high level of Spanish desirable but not required. Other languages are a plus.
  • Advanced level of Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint).
  • Knowledgeable in UK labour law and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strategic thinking.
