AWTG, a leader in 5G systems integration and application development, is looking for an O-RAN Expert to join its Networks Division based in London.
Responsibilities:
- O-RAN Optimization: Lead efforts to optimize and fine-tune the performance of our O-RAN product. Identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements to achieve optimal system efficiency.
- O-RAN Architecture and Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement O-RAN architectures that meet performance, scalability, and flexibility requirements. Contribute to the development of technical specifications for O-RAN components.
- Performance Analysis: Conduct in-depth performance analysis of the O-RAN product, identifying bottlenecks, latency issues, and resource utilization challenges. Propose and implement solutions to address these issues.
- Algorithmic Enhancements: Collaborate with the development team to refine algorithms and data structures, ensuring they align with best practices for performance optimization. Implement algorithmic improvements to enhance overall system responsiveness.
- Resource Management: Monitor and manage resource utilization within the O-RAN product. Implement strategies to optimize memory usage, processing power, and network bandwidth.
- Code Profiling: Utilize profiling tools to analyze and optimize C++ code. Identify and rectify inefficient code patterns, improving the overall performance and responsiveness of the O-RAN product.
- Benchmarking: Conduct benchmarking activities to measure the impact of optimization efforts. Establish and maintain performance benchmarks to track improvements over time.
- Collaboration with Development Teams: Work closely with development and research teams to align optimization efforts with overall product goals. Provide technical expertise and guidance on best practices for performance enhancement. Develop and execute test plans to validate the functionality, performance, and interoperability of O-RAN elements.
- Optimization and Performance Tuning: Analyze network performance metrics and optimize Open RAN configurations for enhanced efficiency. Implement performance-tuning strategies to meet quality of service (QoS) targets.
Requirements:
- O-RAN Experience: Previous experience working with O-RAN products or solutions is highly desirable.
