The Delivery Manager will be accountable for the day-to-day delivery performance of a product or service team at AWTG. The role focuses on building motivated teams, removing obstacles, managing delivery flow and helping multidisciplinary teams deliver high-quality outcomes for clients and users. You will work with multidisciplinary teams across software engineering, cloud, data, AI, product, QA and client delivery to create practical outcomes for clients and end users.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and maintain motivated delivery teams with clear ways of working, priorities, cadence and responsibilities.
  • Facilitate planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, reviews and delivery governance appropriate to the team context.
  • Track and manage risks, issues, blockers and dependencies, escalating appropriately when delivery is at risk.
  • Keep the team focused on the highest-value work and the outcomes needed for users, clients and the business.
  • Encourage continuous improvement, reflective practice and effective collaboration across technical and non-technical team members.
  • Communicate progress, delivery confidence, plans and blockers clearly to stakeholders.
  • Support supplier coordination, budget tracking and reporting where relevant to the delivery context.

Essential skills and experience

  • Experience supporting or managing delivery within Agile or Lean product and service teams.
  • Good understanding of delivery life cycles, planning, prioritisation, forecasting and team capacity management.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to facilitate collaboration, resolve team issues and create an environment where teams can deliver.
  • Experience using delivery and collaboration tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Trello, Confluence or similar.
  • Ability to use evidence and delivery data to inform planning, improve flow and provide delivery confidence.

Desirable skills and experience

  • Experience delivering software, data, AI, cloud or digital transformation products and services.
  • Familiarity with service standards, product life cycle phases, reporting dashboards and delivery metrics.
  • Experience working in client-facing, supplier-led or multidisciplinary project environments.
