AWTG, a leader in 5G systems integration and application development, is looking for Senior O-RAN Engineers to join its Networks Division based in London. We are looking for goal-oriented and driven network engineers with relevant experience in Open RAN and Traditional RAN. You will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing network infrastructure for our clients, ensuring the highest level of performance, security, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Open RAN Mobility Management, Resource Management research work.
  • Knowledge of digital divide and energy efficiency by advanced technology innovations in open telecommunications systems, contributing to the UK strategy of diversification of the telecom Vendors ecosystem.
  • Researching and developing OPEN network components and their seamless interoperability in the wider RAN, Core, and Transport network environment and service platforms, applying them across heterogeneous networks in 5G and beyond.
  • Involved in research, administration, and analysis of major research across our portfolio of projects.
  • Initial design of intelligent algorithms for resource management in 3D RAN.
  • Testing and evaluation plan for disaggregated Core network functions and control-plane algorithms.
  • Performance evaluation results of the computational environment and the control plane for 3D networks.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of terrestrial, airborne (high-altitude platform systems – HAPS), and satellite networks or 3D Open Networks.
  • Contribute to future standards (5G, 5GAdvanced, and 6G), generate essential IPs, and contribute to skills enhancements.
  • Knowledge of NTN, Telco DevOps /Cloud, 3D RAN, ORAN, and SA CORE.
  • Knowledge of resource management in 3D environments.
  • Maintaining a deep technical knowledge of the RAN portfolio and the underlying technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Telecommunications or related field.
  • Ph.D. preferred.
