Job Summary: As the Engineering Manager, you will be a key driver in the development and execution of innovative engineering projects across a wide spectrum of industries. You will be a central point of accountability for client satisfaction and be an expert at handling escalations as needed to produce, update and manage the programme plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary engineering team, promoting a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and project objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to allocate resources, manage project risks, and maintain project schedules.
- Provide technical guidance and expertise to address complex engineering challenges.
- Continuously improve engineering processes, methodologies, and workflows to enhance project efficiency and quality.
- Coordinate supplier accounts for tools, overseeing the engineering team to ensure seamless tool readiness through tasks such as calibration, configuration, and licensing management.
- Implement Agile or similar methodologies to optimise project management.
- Work closely with clients to understand their specific needs, ensuring project deliverables meet or exceed expectations.
- Foster strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor for technical solutions.
- Assist in the development and management of engineering project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource allocation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Years of progressive experience in engineering, including 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and clients.
- Proven track record of delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities to develop engineering talent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP or Scrum Master certification.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies such as WIFI, 5G, IoT, and Industry 4.0.
