We are seeking an experienced Chief Executive to lead and inspire both staff and volunteers within a well-known charity that supports and empowers girls and young women across Scotland. This is a unique opportunity to shape the organisation’s future and make a meaningful difference, helping young people across the country reach their full potential.
As Chief Executive, you will provide clear and visionary leadership, fostering a positive and supportive culture where staff and volunteers feel valued, empowered and motivated to deliver the organisation’s mission. You will work closely with the Leadership & Governance team, and the Board of Trustees to ensure strong governance, long-term sustainability and a clear focus on strategic priorities.
You will also support the operational board in successfully delivering key initiatives and projects, ensuring organisational goals are achieved and opportunities for growth are maximised. Acting as a visible and influential leader, you will represent the organisation within communities across Scotland and act as a positive role model for members and volunteers.
You will also build strong relationships with the organisation’s UK-wide body, ensuring alignment in vision, strategy and purpose while strengthening collaboration across the wider network. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a passionate organisation at a pivotal time, helping to create lasting opportunities for girls and young women across Scotland.
This is a full-time position based in Edinburgh, with some hybrid working available. Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm. The role will require attendance at meetings and events during evenings and weekends in line with volunteer availability, for which time off in lieu (TOIL) will be provided. There will also be travel across Scotland and occasionally within the UK, including some overnight stays.
