Hansel is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead their finance operations across the Hansel Alliance, Hansel Foundation and Hansel Group. This pivotal role oversees the preparation of monthly management accounts, annual statutory accounts, budgets and forecasts, and ensures timely, accurate reporting to senior leadership, Boards and Audit Committees.
The postholder will manage a dedicated finance team of five, covering payroll, accounts payable/receivable, cash and banking, and corporate appointeeship. Working closely with the Finance and Operational Support Director (FOSD) of Finance, they will ensure efficient end-to-end financial processes, maintain and develop the SAGE Intacct system, and support budget holders across the organisation.
The role is central to compliance, governance, financial planning and organisational strategy. The Finance Manager will act as a trusted adviser to senior leaders and Boards, drive continuous improvement, uphold high standards, and ensure the organisation meets all legislative and regulatory requirements.
Essential- Senior-level finance experience with team leadership responsibility.
- Part- or fully-qualified ICAS/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent).
- Strong financial reporting, budgeting and audit expertise.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Resilience, adaptability and strong problem-solving capability.
- High IT systems competence (SAGE Intacct experience desirable).
- Commitment to inclusion, integrity and Hansel’s core values.
- Third Sector experience, particularly in the field of Health and Social Care.
- Demonstrable project and change management experience.
