Do you have a proven track record of shaping and winning large-scale strategic opportunities? Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking world class sales professionals to manage our global customer and partner relationship with a strategic Energy customer in EMEA.
As a Global Account Manager (GAM), you will be responsible for partnering with our customer to build strategic relationships, articulate a clear vision and generate measurable business value. You will focus on developing and managing specific business segments within our customer, driving business growth, and enhancing customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a passion for client engagement and collaborative spirit, partnering with the other Global Account Managers and AWS resources - Executives, Solution Architects, Business Development, Marketing, Partners, Support, Service teams and Professional Services - to execute strategies that align with the client’s needs and business objectives.
The GAM must demonstrate strong leadership presence, build sound relationships across the account and articulate a clear vision and long-term strategic plan. You must be comfortable writing executive briefing documents for, and communicating with, the most senior executives.
Key job responsibilities:- Develop and implement comprehensive account strategies that drive growth and maximize revenue opportunities;
- Drive strategic pipeline creation and conversion of large-scale transformation programs to achieve and exceed revenue targets;
- Create executive-level value propositions tied to measurable outcomes and ROI;
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels to understand business needs, challenges and strategic objectives;
- Monitor Energy & Utility industry trends to provide strategic insights and identify new opportunities;
- Develop case studies and reference materials, highlighting successful customer outcomes on AWS.
- Experience in direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives;
- Strong understanding of AWS’s service catalog ability to relate cloud and Agentic AI solutions to solving clients’ business problems;
- Deep understanding of sales principles, processes and techniques including lead generation, negotiation and closing complex deals.
- Bachelor's degree, or MBA in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT or equivalent;
- Experience developing detailed go to market plans;
- Good understanding of the Energy & Utilities industry landscape, including regulatory environment, market dynamics, and digital transformation trends;
- Proven history of creating net-new revenue streams through strategic initiatives.
