Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for experienced and motivated technologists who possess a unique balance of technical depth and strong interpersonal skills. You will partner with some of the world's largest Automotive and Manufacturing companies to craft highly scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures that address customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of AWS services.
In collaboration with account managers, you will assist in driving growth across a set of global customers in your defined country. As a trusted customer advocate, the solutions architect will help organizations understand best practices around advanced cloud-based solutions and how to migrate existing workloads to the cloud. You will have the opportunity to help shape and execute a strategy to build mind share and broad use of AWS within enterprise customers.
The ability to connect technology with measurable business value is critical to a solutions architect. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges.

Key job responsibilities:
- Serve as a trusted technical and AI advisor to customers, understanding their business needs and technology challenges to architect customized solutions.
- Lead discussions to shape a customer's long-term technology and AI strategy and guide them on trade-offs between short-term fixes and extensible, scalable solutions.
- Design end-to-end solutions leveraging both technical expertise and business acumen, driving consensus across multiple teams to deliver impactful solutions.
- Proactively identify opportunities to accelerate implementation through reusable components, parallel workstreams, etc.
- Share knowledge by developing technical content like sample code, presentations, workshops to exemplify best practices and educate customers.
- Drive product innovation by gathering customer feedback, translating needs into clear requirements, and partnering with product teams through development.
- Resolve complex technical problems through root cause analysis, both for customers and internally.
- Contribute to strategic planning, recruit/develop talent, build team consensus, and provide guidance to more junior solutions architects.
A day in the life:
- Review customer requirements and technical challenges, focusing on opportunities to implement complex solutions architectures that can transform business outcomes, also leveraging AI capabilities.
- Develop proof-of-concepts that demonstrate how cloud solutions can transform business processes.
- Influence service team leadership and product marketing on the future needs for customers, prioritising roadmap features and GTM messaging.
- Dedicate time to continuous learning about the latest advancements in AWS service capabilities.
- Participate in knowledge sharing activities with colleagues, creating field enablement materials to help other SAs understand how to integrate cloud solutions into customer architectures.

The Automotive & Manufacturing Solutions Architecture team is dedicated to accelerating AWS cloud adoption across strategic automotive and manufacturing accounts. Our mission is to drive tangible business value through focused execution on strategic projects while enabling scale by up-skilling broader field teams. We work at the intersection of technology and industry-specific transformation, partnering closely with account teams, technology specialists, and industry specialist teams to deliver comprehensive solutions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or experience in a professional field or military.
- Experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.
- Experience within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
- Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking.
- Experience working with end user or developer communities.
- Experience with presentations and speaking with executives, IT, management, and developers.
