About the Role
Panda is a leading waste management solutions provider based in Bromborough (CH62 4SQ). We specialise in sustainable resource recovery and circular economy practices. We’re currently seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our Bromborough team and play a vital role in our environmental services operations.
The Role
Operating from our Bromborough depot, you’ll safely and efficiently collect and transport commercial/industrial waste using our modern HGV fleet. Enjoy consistent Monday‑Friday shifts starting at 3‑4 am, with a paid break and the option to earn extra via weekend overtime. This role offers a stable 40‑hour workweek.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate HGV Class 2 vehicles for waste collections.
- Plan efficient routes to maximise productivity and minimise environmental impact.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring sites are tidy and bins correctly positioned.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects.
- Adhere to waste duty of care regulations, drivers’ hours, and health/safety standards.
Essential Requirements
- Valid UK Class 2 licence + current Driver CPC.
- Digital tachograph card.
- Experience in waste sector operations (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of waste hierarchy and environmental compliance.
- Customer‑focused communication skills.
- Physical fitness for manual handling tasks.
What We Offer
- Pay rate: £14.47/hour + overtime after 40 hours at £18.09/hour.
- Performance Bonuses: After full training, earn 8p per bin collected daily, plus a timing bonus based on targets (10, 14, or 18 pounds a day).
