Engagement: Part-time · Long-term · Retainer-based

We are a growing digital marketing agency working with international clients across the UK, Europe, and other regions. We are looking for an experienced UK-based accountant (ideally running their own practice) to support us on a part-time, long-term basis. This role is focused on UK compliance, HMRC filings, and international accounting oversight, working alongside our internal finance operations. This is not a junior bookkeeping role. We are looking for a senior, hands-on accountant who understands cross-border digital services, international tax considerations, and agency-style businesses.

Requirements:

  • Review and support UK statutory accounts
  • Prepare and file HMRC submissions (Corporation Tax, VAT where applicable)
  • Review monthly/quarterly bookkeeping prepared internally
  • Have experience with tools such as Sage is a must (as that is our accounting software)
  • Advise on UK tax compliance and best practices (if needed)
  • Support year-end close and statutory filings
  • Provide guidance on:
    • International tax treatment and EU tax treaties
    • Cross-border invoicing for services
    • Multi-currency transactions
    • Contractor and international supplier payments
    • VAT treatment for digital and marketing services
  • Act as a trusted external accounting partner, not just a filing service
