Purpose of Position
We are looking for a Senior Product Analyst to help our product teams make better decisions by bringing quantitative evidence into discovery, prioritisation, experimentation and delivery.
Sitting within our Product & Tech organisation, you'll work closely with Product Managers, Designers, Researchers and Engineers to ensure decisions are grounded in evidence.
You’ll connect behavioural product data with qualitative research and commercial insight to help teams identify opportunities, understand customer behaviour and measure whether our products are creating the intended outcomes.
This is a hands-on product analytics role focused on understanding customer behaviour and turning quantitative evidence into actionable product insight.
You will also connect product analytics with relevant commercial and operational data where this helps teams understand the wider impact of their decisions.
Our team is a bunch of lovely, smart, and dedicated humans.
And we offer some great benefits too!
- What you’ll be responsible for
- Act as the analytics partner across our cross-functional product teams, using data and insights to shape product strategy and drive measurable outcomes.
- Helping teams turn strategic goals, customer problems and product hypotheses into clear questions, measurable outcomes and meaningful success metrics.
- Analysing customer journeys, funnels, conversion, activation, feature adoption, engagement, retention and customer segments.
- Using product and business data to identify behavioural patterns, friction points and opportunities for improvement or growth.
- Supporting prioritisation by establishing baselines, sizing opportunities and explaining the potential customer and business impact.
- Using Amplitude to explore customer behaviour, create cohorts and build clear, reusable dashboards.
- Improving how Awin uses Amplitude through consistent metric definitions, event taxonomies, dashboard templates and documentation.
- Working with Product and Engineering to define tracking requirements, address implementation gaps and ensure data is captured accurately.
- Helping teams design and evaluate product experiments by defining hypotheses, primary and guardrail metrics and suitable methods for interpreting results.
- Creating clear dashboards and visualisations that help teams understand product performance and connect customer behaviour with relevant commercial outcomes.
- Combining quantitative analysis with UX Research and customer feedback to understand both what customers are doing and why.
- Communicating findings clearly through concise narratives, visualisations and practical recommendations.
- Helping product teams become more confident and independent in their use of data.
- Acting as a trusted analytical partner to Product leadership.
- Driving best practices for product measurement and experimentation.
About you
- You have experience in product analytics or a product-focused data role, working directly with digital product teams and understand how Product, Design, Research and Engineering collaborate.
- You have a strong track record of using behavioural product data to uncover insights, tell a clear story and influence product decisions.
- You can move beyond reporting what happened to explain why it matters and what a team should consider doing next.
- You are proficient in SQL and comfortable exploring large or complex datasets.
- You have hands-on experience with a product analytics platform such as Amplitude, Mixpanel, Heap or an equivalent.
- You have experience supporting product experiments and A/B tests, including defining hypotheses and success metrics and interpreting results appropriately.
- You understand product instrumentation, including event taxonomies, tracking plans and metric definitions.
- You have some experience defining product KPIs, measurement frameworks and appropriate success and guardrail metrics.
- You can translate ambiguous product or business problems into focused analytical questions.
- You communicate complex findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- You are comfortable working across different product areas and balancing deeper analysis with faster questions that help teams maintain momentum.
- Experience with Amplitude preferred but not necessary
