Be the driving force behind the Commercial Director—keeping priorities on track and programmes moving forward. Play a pivotal role at the heart of our Major Infrastructure Delivery (MID) business as the trusted partner to the Commercial Director. In this fast-paced, front-line position, you’ll be instrumental in keeping critical programmes running seamlessly—supporting high-profile initiatives such as Coastal Waters, Programme Delivery Partner, and the Major Projects Framework.
Working closely with the Director and senior leadership team, you’ll bring structure, organisation, and energy to a dynamic environment, ensuring priorities stay on track and key activities are delivered effectively. Alongside executive support, you’ll also contribute to project coordination and people-focused processes, helping to drive efficiency, collaboration, and a well‑run office function.
What you’ll be doing:
- Acting as a trusted right-hand support to the Commercial Director, managing a complex diary, prioritising commitments and ensuring they’re fully prepared for meetings and key activities.
- Keeping things running smoothly day‑to‑day by handling communications, preparing high‑quality documents and presentations, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
- Coordinating meetings, capturing actions and tracking progress to support delivery across the commercial function.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, confidently acting as a first point of contact and representing the Director in a professional and approachable way.
- Playing a key role in people and organisational activities, including onboarding new starters, supporting internal processes, and helping deliver team events and initiatives.
- Supporting the wider commercial team with diary management, meeting coordination and general administrative support.
- Organising travel, events and logistics, often managing changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Helping maintain an efficient, well‑organised office environment, ensuring systems, resources and processes are in place to support the team.

- Proven experience in a PA or senior administrative role, supporting senior leaders in a fast‑paced environment.
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and pace.
- Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Professional, discreet and diplomatic, with strong judgement and a sensitive, customer‑focused approach.
- Proactive and self‑motivated, with the initiative to anticipate needs and respond flexibly to changing demands.
- Strong administrative and IT skills, including Microsoft Office and working with spreadsheets.
- Experience supporting people‑related processes or activities would be advantageous.
