In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to utilise and enhance your strong problem‑solving and engineering skills within modelling and analysis of complex systems using high‑level software languages such as MATLAB, Simulink, and Python. Your understanding of engineering fundamentals and physical principles will be tested as you tackle broad challenges relating to mathematics, physics, and engineering, and the development of technologically advanced and exciting proof‑of‑concept models in the context of Electronic Warfare. At Awerian, you will also have the chance to develop skills in adjacent disciplines through the collaborative and autonomous environment we foster, depending on where your interests lie.

Qualifications

  • In‑depth experience in one or more of these areas:
    • Developing and/or modelling and simulation for Radar and Electronic Warfare
    • Developing advanced models of systems and the interactions between them
    • System architecture, signal‑processing algorithm development and validation
    • Simulation test bench development
    • Hardware‑in‑the‑loop development of Electronic Warfare or Radar systems
    • Working with a variety of Radar or Electronic Warfare systems
  • Desirable experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • DSP fundamentals e.g. sampling, DFT/FFT, correlation/convolution, and filtering
    • Simulation validation through real‑world measurements and/or field trials
    • Broad awareness of key RF system topics (including environmental modelling, antennas and front‑end, waveforms, receiver processing, PNT, high‑power RF/DEW), with in‑depth knowledge in one or more of these areas
    • RF front‑end architecture development
    • High‑speed / real‑time DSP e.g. FPGA
