Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: £49,830 - £58,000 per annum + pension

Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking.

Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Business Coordinator to work closely with the Director Science Labs Business Unit and their leadership team. You will gain a unique insight into the leadership and governance of the business unit, working with both the leadership team and key stakeholders, with visibility across the full Science function.

This role will include:

  • Coordination and management of the business rhythm and governance activities for the leadership team to enable effective management, decision-making and communications.
  • Manage inputs to governance meetings, ensuring that management information, performance reporting and proposals for decision or escalation are delivered to the right quality and timelines.
  • Provide insightful analysis and highlight key issues, risks and opportunities to the business unit leadership team.
  • Provide key support to the Science Labs Business Unit leadership team in the management of day-to-day tasks and cross Science projects.

As well as excellent verbal and written skills, you will need to have an eye for detail, the ability to analyse data and be able to challenge and problem solve.

  • Working with a variety of stakeholders across all levels of a business.
  • A high level of organisation with experience of setting up large meetings, ensuring all relevant documentation required, including proposals, escalations and performance reporting are delivered to the required quality.
  • Knowledge of developing suitable performance measures, setting escalation triggers and governance tolerances.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of business operations teams ensuring successful delivery of business plans and objectives.
  • A keen eye for detail providing insightful analysis, highlighting issues, risks and opportunities while identifying improvements and efficiencies.
  • Experience of supporting review, learn and improve (RLI) activities.

Important things you need to know:

  • You will need to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role. This will be funded by AWE.
  • The nature of our work does mean you need to be a British Citizen who has been resident in the UK for the past 5 years in order to apply for SC clearance and 10 years for DV.

  • Our interviews typically take place over Teams and for most roles are a 1 stage process.
  • Hybrid working is available for this role on an informal, non-contractual basis. Typically 3 days onsite per week.
