About Us

Eryri National Park Authority (ENPA) protects the natural beauty, wildlife, and cultural heritage of Eryri National Park. Covering 823 square miles, the park is home to the highest mountain in Wales, the largest natural lake in Wales, and over 26,000 people.

We are now looking for a Senior Finance Officer to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37 hours per week.

The Role

As a Senior Finance Officer, you will support the Head of Finance to deliver an efficient and effective finance service.

You’ll help ensure smooth day-to-day financial operations, maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance, and support the organisation in meeting its key performance indicators.

Maintaining and developing the financial information system, you will input virements and journals, support budget holders with monitoring, and manage the period-end process.

You’ll also take the lead on supervising the payments function, ensuring invoices and payment documents are processed promptly, reconciled, and compliant.

Additionally, you will:

  • Prepare year-end accounts
  • Oversee daily treasury management operations
  • Check and process travel claims, payroll deductions, and insurance claims
  • Prepare financial returns, maintain procedural notes, and support audits

About You

To be considered as a Senior Finance Officer, you will need:

  • Excellent oral and written skills in Welsh and English
  • To be a fully qualified Accounting Technician or equivalent
  • Experience with computer-based accounting systems
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
