Working as a Support Worker / Care Assistant you will be required to provide personalised support to vulnerable adults who live in the community and have identified care & reablement needs., As a Support Worker / Care Assistant your daily tasks for this role include supporting individuals within their own homes by following instructions on their Reablement/Care plans to ensure their needs are met in an effective and safe way., Your duties as a Support Worker / Care Assistant will include:

Supporting service users with their daily living skills. Including personal care, meal preparation & housekeeping

Supporting service users to access community opportunities

Working with families, healthcare professionals and occupational therapists

Offer safe and appropriate support to each individual in a person-centred way

Comply with and maintain best practice in relation to Health & safety matters, which will include basic risk assessments and the prevention and control of infection

Ensure support is provided to the level stipulated in the Reablement/Care Plan

To use an innovative approach to positively support Customers to achieve as much independence as they are able to

Maintain accurate and factual records as a legal requirement in order to evidence and communicate actions and outcomes effectively to others

Monitor the health, wellbeing and progress of service users and report any concerns/changes back to management in order to protect and safeguard vulnerable adults

Ensure a positive and flexible approach to the variety of tasks and work patterns within the role

SALARY: £12.36 per hour + Overtime + Generous Benefits (see below)
Overtime paid at Time and a Half, over 40 hours
Bank Holidays paid at Time and a Half, plus a day back in TOIL
LOCATION: Travelling around the East areas of Cornwall, visiting clients in their homes
JOB TYPE: Full-Time and Part-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: Guaranteed weekly hours from 14 up to 36 hours per week
SHIFT PATTERN: Flexibility is required – All rounds start at 7:00 – 14:00, evening rounds start at 16:00 and finish at the latest 22:00 and working every other weekend is mandatory. A regular Week A/Week B rolling rota will be issued, helping to promote a healthy work-life balance, and for ease of mind
Please note: A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential for this role, * Guaranteed Payment of your Contracted Hours: You are always paid for a full shift, even in the event of a client cancellation. This includes travel, and contact time

Mileage Allowance: 45p per mile. Plus, after probation period of 6 months, you could join the ‘Car Lease Scheme’
