As the M&E Building Services Contracts Manager you will be responsible for the management of the electrical servicing, maintenance, and testing contracts across the organisation’s property portfolio ensuring compliance with legislation and customer safety.
Working as the M&E Building Services Contracts Manager you will ensure that the organisation provides good quality homes and places for their customers by exceeding service and regulatory expectations through delivery of the corporate strategies. Collaboration with the Building Services team and other teams is required to ensure that the customer experience is maximised., Your duties as M&E Building Services Contracts Manager will include:

Effective contract management of the electrical servicing and maintenance contracts, including the domestic and communal electrical testing programme and ensuring full compliance and governance with legislation and internal policies

Have financial oversight of service & maintenance contracts, ensuring budgets and targets are met through effective monitoring and control of expenditure

Ensure all relevant contract and KPI information is recorded onto the correct systems

Ensure the accuracy and robustness of asset data, KPIs, finance data, and contribute to the implementation of new systems to support the business

Manage and monitor repairs, complaints and ensure outstanding works are managed

Work jointly and collaboratively with not only the Asset and Repairs teams but also with the Housing teams to ensure that the organisation provides the best possible service to its customers

Provide regular updates and reports to the Senior Building Services Manager on contractor performance and compliance activities, performance metrics, and key issues

Contribute to strategies and plans for improving the M&E and compliance related services

Ensure that the contractors are compliant with all Health & Safety as set out in statutory legislation

Build effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

Previous M&E contract management experience, including managing programmes exceeding £2m and delivering customer-focused services in maintenance or repair contexts

Substantial experience in high-profile, high-value contracts, performance management, and overseeing contractor performance

Expertise in procurement processes, developing and managing M&E frameworks, and understanding Building Safety regulations

Strong knowledge of asset management principles, compliance standards, and the ability to analyse and report on data using IT tools and systems is essential

Proven ability to communicate clearly, confidently, and persuasively at all levels, with strong interpersonal skills and a track record of producing high-quality written and verbal reports

Comprehensive understanding of Building Regulations and related compliance requirements is critical

Full UK driving license and access to a car are required
