Job Overview
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Data Analyst to support a data‑led approach to improving health and wellbeing across the local community. As the Data Analyst you will analyse datasets and develop public health intelligence using Power BI, SQL and Excel to support evidence‑based decisions. The Data Analyst will work with colleagues, partners and stakeholders to identify population health needs, support needs assessments, evaluate projects and create dashboards and reports. This is an excellent opportunity to use analytical skills, communication skills, stakeholder engagement and reporting experience in a role with real community impact.
Duties
- Public Health Intelligence: support a data‑led approach to improving health outcomes for the local community
- Population Health Analysis: identify population health needs using qualitative and quantitative data sources
- Evidence‑Based Insight: support projects informed by community needs, local intelligence and evidence
- Needs Assessments: contribute to evidence‑based needs assessments and the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment
- Data Communication: present data and information clearly to varied audiences
- Project Evaluation: evaluate project impact and apply learning to future programme delivery
- Dashboards and Reporting: develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, indicators and outcome measures
- Stakeholder Updates: prepare reports and updates for internal and external audiences
Candidate Requirements
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Experience of analysing data and handling datasets and using specialist software tools such as Power BI and SQL
- Excellent team working skills and evidence of delivering successful outcomes
