NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED – FULL TRAINING PROVIDED. Previous masking, painting preparation, manufacturing or similar experience would be beneficial, but the right level of precision, patience and attention to detail is equally important. This is manual, hands-on work rather than machine operation, making it particularly suitable for someone who enjoys practical tasks requiring care, concentration and precision.

SALARY: £12.71 per Hour + Benefits

LOCATION: Liverpool, Merseyside, North West England (L3)

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: Monday to Thursday 8:00am – 4:30pm, Friday 8:00am – 3:30pm

JOB OVERVIEW: This is an excellent opportunity for a careful and methodical Production Operative to carry out specialist masking work in preparation for painting and surface finishing. Working as the Production Operative, you will apply masking tape by hand to specific areas of components, ensuring only the required surfaces are exposed for painting. This is intricate manual work where accuracy is critical, and small positioning errors can affect the quality of the finished component. As the Production Operative, you will support high-quality production processes within a precision manufacturing setting, following drawings, instructions, masking requirements, health and safety standards and environmental procedures.

DUTIES:

  • Apply Masking Materials: Carefully apply masking tape by hand to specific areas of components before painting and surface finishing.
  • Follow Technical Instructions: Work accurately from drawings, instructions and masking requirements.
  • Check Work Quality: Review your own work to ensure masking is positioned correctly and completed to high standards.
  • Support Surface Preparation: Prepare components so only the required areas are exposed during the finishing process.
  • Maintain Accuracy: Carry out detailed, repetitive and intricate manual tasks with patience and concentration.
  • Follow Health and Safety Procedures: Work safely in line with company policies, procedures and statutory requirements.
  • Report Workplace Concerns: Promptly report unsafe practices, incidents, hazards or environmental concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a Clean Workplace: Contribute to a safe, clean and compliant manufacturing environment.
