Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 per annum
Location: Remote working visiting properties in Hertfordshire. Please note: Candidates must live within a commutable distance to Hertfordshire.

Job Overview: We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Valuation Surveyor to join a long-established and well-regarded surveying practice operating across Hertfordshire. As a Valuation Surveyor you will be responsible for attending residential properties to undertake valuations and identify defects, working on instructions provided directly by the office without the need for client management. The Valuation Surveyor role offers fully remote working, with site visits limited to local areas including St Albans and Watford, allowing you to manage your workload independently while remaining part of a supportive team.
Duties: Your duties as the Valuation Surveyor include:
- Residential Property Valuations: Carrying out accurate valuations for private clients, investors, lenders, banks and solicitors.
- Property Inspections: Attending residential properties to assess condition and identify defects.
- Survey Reporting: Completing Level 2 Homebuyer Reports and Level 3 Building Surveys.
- Standards Compliance: Ensuring all work aligns with current RICS valuation standards.
- Instruction Management: Undertaking survey instructions allocated by the office team.
- Local Area Coverage: Visiting properties across Hertfordshire, including St Albans and Watford.
- Independent Working: Managing your own workload while working remotely.
- Team Collaboration: Liaising with colleagues and contributing to shared best practice.
Candidate Requirements:
- RICS qualified.
- Previous experience carrying out residential property valuations.
- Proven experience of Level 2 and Level 3 residential surveys.
- Strong knowledge of RICS valuation standards.
- Experience preparing reports for private clients, lenders and solicitors.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Comfortable working remotely with property site visits.
- A collaborative approach with the ability to work as part of a team.
