JOB TYPE: Part-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: Minimum 15 hours / up to 22.5 Hours per Week, including weekends

JOB OVERVIEW

This role is ideal for someone with strong front of house experience, team leadership skills, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced café environment.

DUTIES

  • Team Leadership: Supervise front of house staff, delegate tasks, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations
  • Customer Service Excellence: Deliver outstanding customer service, creating a welcoming and professional environment
  • Operational Management: Coordinate daily café operations, ensuring efficient service and workflow
  • Staff Training and Development: Support onboarding and training across service standards, menus, and allergen awareness
  • Stock Control and Inventory: Monitor stock levels, manage deliveries, and minimise waste through effective rotation
  • Financial Administration: Operate POS systems, manage cash handling, and complete accurate end-of-day procedures
  • Service Standards and Presentation: Maintain high standards of cleanliness, layout, and visual presentation
  • Event Support: Assist with catering and hospitality for private events and bookings
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to food hygiene, allergen regulations, and health and safety procedures
  • Team Communication: Deliver clear briefings and maintain effective communication across shifts

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL

  • Previous experience supervising or leading a team in a busy customer-facing or hospitality environment
  • Strong customer service skills with a passion for delivering an excellent visitor experience
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and support a team
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
