As the Vehicle Technician, you will carry out mechanical assessments, identify faults and complete high-quality repairs in line with manufacturer standards and internal workshop processes. The Vehicle Technician will also support the installation of accessories and components, maintain accurate work records, help keep the workshop safe and organised, and play a key part in ensuring vehicles are retail-ready. DUTIES Your duties as the Vehicle Technician include: Mechanical Assessments: Conduct thorough mechanical checks on a diverse range of vehicles Identify Vehicle Defects: Report visual defects, abnormal driving behaviours and potential safety or performance issues Complete High-Quality Repairs: Carry out repair work to ensure vehicles are prepared to a retail-ready standard Install Accessories and Components: Fit accessories and vehicle components as specified by the sales team Maintain Accurate Records: Record all work completed and parts used to support warranty compliance Use Diagnostic Tools: Diagnose faults accurately and recommend effective repair solutions Maintain Workshop Equipment: Follow maintenance schedules and report equipment issues promptly Support Workshop Standards: Keep the workshop tidy, organised and safe for colleagues and visitors Deliver Excellent Quality: Complete work to high standards to support customer satisfaction and reduce return repairs CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Ideally hold an NVQ Level 3 in motor vehicle repair or an NVQ Level 2 qualification Previous experience in a vehicle repair, servicing, workshop or mechanic role Strong knowledge of diagnostic tools Familiarity with mechanical, electrical and electronic vehicle components Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines Understanding of manufacturer standards relating to vehicle servicing and repairs Full, clean UK driving licence BENEFITS On Target Earnings up to £72,000 Competitive basic salary Access to a brand-new, high-tech workshop Training & development opportunities to enhance your skills Clear career progression pathways Bonus scheme Company pension Refer a Friend scheme HOW TO APPLY To be considered for this job vacancy, please submit your CV to our Recruitment Team who will review your details.
