JOB OVERVIEW
Due to continued expansion, the company has an excellent opportunity for a Vehicle Damage Assessor with strong technical knowledge of vehicle repairs, damage assessment and estimating processes. As a Vehicle Damage Assessor you will assess repairs from vehicle images, prepare accurate estimates and repair methods, and support quality, cost control and efficient repair processes. The Vehicle Damage Assessor will work closely with production, operations and wider engineering teams in a fast-paced, supportive environment with opportunities for career progression.
DUTIES
- Vehicle Damage Assessment: Accurately inspect and assess vehicle damage from images in line with manufacturer and industry standards.
- Repair Methods and Estimates: Prepare clear repair methods and estimates using recognised estimating systems and repair matrices.
- Process and Quality Checks: Ensure repair processes and procedures have been followed correctly and raise quality or process concerns.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with production and operational teams to support a smooth and efficient repair process.
- Industry Platform Compliance: Ensure the correct processes are followed on required industry platforms.
- Invoice Query Support: Support the resolution of invoice queries using accurate repair and estimating information.
- Best Practice and Compliance: Promote quality standards, compliance and consistent technical decision-making across the business.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support across wider engineering functions when required.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience within automotive accident repair, crash repair, estimating, vehicle damage assessment or a transferable technical role.
- Confidence using recognised automotive estimating systems.
- Strong understanding of modern vehicle construction and repair methods.
- Excellent attention to detail and a consistent, quality-first approach to decision-making.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
- A customer-focused approach and commitment to high service standards.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Own transport is preferred due to location.
