- SALARY: Extensive Training + Paid Expenses
- LOCATION: Remote and onsite working in Newcastle upon Tyne, North East England (NE4 6). Expenses will be paid
- JOB TYPE: Part-Time, Voluntary Position
- WORKING HOURS: Minimum 2 hours per week during office hours, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm. Minimum 12-month commitment following completion of vetting and training
We have a fantastic new volunteering opportunity for a Residential Support Volunteer to support participants involved in criminal justice services through personalised one-to-one mentoring and guidance. As a Residential Support Volunteer you will act as a positive role model, helping individuals develop confidence, practical life skills and positive routines while working towards agreed action plans within approved premises. The organisation delivers community support and rehabilitation projects designed to reduce reoffending and improve participant outcomes. As a Residential Support Volunteer you will work closely with staff and volunteers to provide meaningful support that helps individuals move forward positively.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Good verbal and written communication skills with a compassionate and professional approach
- IT skills are required as there is an element of administration involved in this role
- As a successful candidate you must understand the need for reliability, value punctuality and have good communication skills
- Able to commit to a minimum of 2 hours per week and a 12-month volunteering commitment
- Comfortable working remotely and onsite within approved premises in Newcastle
