Senior Human Resources Employee Relations Manager with in-depth ER and HR experience and strong knowledge of UK employment law is required for part-time role within the core head office team.

SALARY: £70,000 pro rata + Benefits

LOCATION: Remote Working from Home. However, you can also work from the Newbury, Berkshire or Romford, Essex office if it’s within reasonable travel time.

JOB TYPE: Part-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 21 Hours per Week over 3 Days per Week (days to be discussed during interview)

KEY REQUIREMENTS: Candidates MUST be qualified in Employment Law and have in-depth ER experience.

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Senior Human Resources Employee Relations Manager with in-depth ER and HR experience and strong knowledge of UK employment law. Working as the Senior Human Resources Employee Relations Manager you will play a pivotal role in ensuring legal compliance and fostering positive employee relations within the organisation. This includes providing expert advice and comprehensive support to the HR Manager, Directors, and Operational Managers on all aspects of employment law and employee relations.

Beyond routine case management, your role extends to strategic HR initiatives, including supporting client-facing matters with an employee conduct element, conducting HR due diligence on potential acquisitions, auditing third-party labour providers, and updating HR-related business processes across the group. This proactive approach ensures the organisation's HR practices are robust, compliant, and aligned with best practice, contributing to a stable and productive work environment. You will also manage ad-hoc projects as assigned by the Directors, demonstrating adaptability and a comprehensive understanding of the organisation's HR needs.

DUTIES

  • Providing advice, guidance and comprehensive support to the HR Manager, the Directors and Operational Managers on employment law and employee relations matters
  • Managing all employee relations matters, supported by the HR Manager and HR team - preparing all documentation and correspondence and acting as decision maker where appropriate
  • Creating, reviewing and updating relevant forms, policies and procedures
  • Keeping abreast of legal changes, updating policies and procedures as appropriate and providing in-house training on new developments
  • Cases will include: Grievances, Disciplinaries, Conduct and performance management, including warnings and dismissals, Absence and Sickness management, Managing client requests for staff removal, TUPE transfers, Flexible working requests, ACAS and Tribunal case management, with support from external advisers as appropriate, Redundancies, Employee subject access requests and GDPR related matters, Other ad-hoc matters as may be designated by the Directors from time to time, such as Support on client facing matters with an employee conduct element, HR due diligence on potential acquisitions, HR auditing of third-party labour providers, Updating HR related business processes within the group
