A fantastic opportunity for a Senior or Semi Senior Accountant to join an accountancy practice, supporting clients with statutory accounts, tax returns, VAT returns, bookkeeping and management accounts.
Location: Saltash, Cornwall (PL12) or Newton Abbot, Devon (TQ12)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Working Hours: 9.00am - 5.00pm, Monday to Friday - with the option to alter your hours to work extra Monday to Thursday and finish at 2.00pm on a Friday.
As the Senior or Semi Senior Accountant, you will work in a client-facing role, preparing limited company accounts, VAT returns and management accounts while supporting junior team members.
Your duties include:
- Limited Company Accounts: prepare accounts for a range of clients
- Tax Returns: prepare tax returns accurately and in line with relevant requirements
- Management Accounts: prepare management accounts to support client finance functions
- Accounting Technology: use modern accounting systems and digital tools to streamline work
- Finance Support: help clients gain clear insight into their finance function and business performance
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in an accountancy practice environment
- Experience preparing limited company accounts, tax returns, VAT returns and management accounts
- Achieved AAT Level 3 or above, or equivalent experience
- Comfortable working with new technology and digital accounting systems
- Experience using Xero and Dext would be beneficial
