Salary: £13.49 - £15.30 per hour (depending on experience) + Shift Allowance + Generous Benefits
Location: Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire (DN15)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Working Hours: 3-shift rotation between 06:00 to 14:00 (Monday to Saturday), 14:00 to 22:00 (Monday to Friday) and 22:00 to 06:00 (Monday to Friday). 8-hour shifts (average 42.66 hours per week). Overtime paid at x1.5 Weekdays & Saturdays & x2.0 Sundays and Bank Holidays. Plus, Free drinks (3 per Shift) and Paid Breaks.
Job Overview: We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Production Operative working within a busy manufacturing operation. The organisation operates advanced production machinery and is committed to delivering high-quality products through efficient manufacturing processes. As a Production Operative you will support machine operation across the production line, undertake material handling activities, assist with quality control checks and help maintain a safe and productive production environment. Full training will be provided. The successful Production Operative will be a reliable team player with strong attention to detail and a commitment to health and safety.
Duties:
- Operating Machinery: Run manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently
- Following Procedures: Adhere to established quality and safety standards
- Carrying Out Maintenance: Perform routine checks and basic maintenance tasks
- Monitoring Output: Identify and report production or quality issues
- Team Collaboration: Work with colleagues to meet production goals
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience within a production, manufacturing or factory environment would be advantageous but is not essential
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to work shift patterns including nights and weekends
- Reliability, punctuality and a flexible attitude to work
