WORKING HOURS: 8 Hour Shifts / 3-shift rotations, between 06:00 until 14:00 (Monday to Saturday), 14:00 until 22:00 (Monday to Friday) and 22:00 until 06:00 (Monday to Friday) – (Average 42.66 hours per week)

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a FLT Trainer to join a well-established manufacturing organisation based in Scunthorpe. This role plays a key part in developing the skills and safety awareness of the despatch team.
As a FLT Trainer you will be responsible for delivering structured training, refresher programmes and assessments, ensuring colleagues are competent, compliant and confident in their duties within a fast-paced production and warehouse environment.
The FLT Trainer will work closely with operational teams to promote safe working practices, attention to detail and continuous improvement, supporting both individual development and overall site performance.
Duties
- Delivering Training Programmes: Providing comprehensive training for despatch colleagues across all areas of their role
- FLT Instruction: Training and assessing colleagues on safe and effective forklift truck operation
- Refresher Training: Conducting regular refresher sessions to maintain high standards of safety and performance
- Competency Assessments: Completing assessments and maintaining accurate training records
- Health and Safety Compliance: Promoting safe working practices and adherence to site policies and procedures
- Continuous Improvement: Identifying training needs and supporting ongoing skills development within the team
- Collaboration: Working closely with supervisors and management to support operational requirements
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, logistics or warehouse environment
- Proven experience of delivering training or coaching within an operational setting
- A strong focus on health and safety and safe systems of work
- Good attention to detail with the ability to assess competency effectively
- Positive work ethic with a proactive and supportive approach
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage colleagues at all levels
