Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Working Hours: 8 Hour Shifts / 3-shift rotations, between 06:00 until 14:00 (Monday to Saturday), 22:00 until 06:00 (Monday to Friday) and 14:00 until 22:00 (Monday to Friday) – Average 42.66 hours per week. Overtime paid at 1.5x weekdays & Saturdays & 2.0x Sundays and Bank Holidays. Free drinks (3 per Shift) and Paid Breaks.
Job Overview: We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a FLT Driver / Forklift Truck Driver within a fast-paced manufacturing setting that values safety, accuracy and teamwork. As a FLT Driver / Forklift Truck Driver you will handle the movement of materials, ensuring smooth goods flow across warehouse and production areas. The FLT Driver / Forklift Truck Driver will work as part of a supportive operations team, contributing to efficient processes, safe working practices and timely dispatch. You will play an important role in maintaining clear yards, loading board safely and supporting shift colleagues. Working in a clean and safety-focused environment, you will use your attention to detail, forklift operation skills and commitment to safe systems of work to meet daily targets while supporting the organisation’s wider warehouse and logistics functions.
Duties:
- Operating forklifts safely – moving and loading materials across the site
- Supporting warehouse flow – handling stock and maintaining organised storage areas
- Loading materials – preparing goods safely for dispatch and onward movement
- Following safety procedures – adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times
- Maintaining equipment – carrying out basic checks and reporting issues
- Working within shift teams – supporting colleagues across rotating shifts
- Completing documentation – recording movements accurately as required
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience with forklift operation in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Background in safe working practices and site safety procedures
- Proven experience of working in a fast-paced, team-based setting
- Experience with loading, unloading and stock movement
- Good attention to detail and a positive work ethic
- Ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate records
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts
